Have you ever had a virus or lost data from a hard drive crash? We’re not all information security professionals, but we each face our share of security problems. In this talk, Karthik Raman will introduce information security fundamentals as they pertain to security laypeople. Specifically, he will cover some of the challenges in securing a home office for translators and interpreters. Finally, he will talk about steps that we all can take to mitigate our exposure to the most pressing home office security problems.
Presenter: Karthik Raman, Certified Information Systems Security Professional
Karthik Raman, CISSP, is a security researcher in the Adobe Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT), where he focuses on vulnerability analysis and technical collaboration with industry partners. Before joining Adobe, Karthik was a research scientist at McAfee Labs, where he worked on threat analysis, building automation systems, malware analysis, and developing advanced antimalware technology.
